Project Engineer - Body Electronics  – Shape the Future of Luxury Automotive Innovation

If you’re someone who enjoys seeing your ideas come to life in real vehicles, this is an opportunity to take true ownership of cutting-edge Body Electronics systems from concept through to launch. You’ll be part of a team at the heart of electrical architecture and systems design, working on technology that defines the customer experience in a world-renowned automotive brand.

In this role, you won’t just be contributing, you’ll be leading. You’ll take responsibility for the design, development and delivery of Body Electronics components and systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards across quality, cost, timing and functionality. From defining requirements and creating specifications through to resolving real-world issues during builds and beyond, your work will directly influence how vehicles perform and feel. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers, bringing people together to solve complex challenges and keep programmes on track.

There’s a strong delivery focus here too. You’ll be navigating the full product development lifecycle, managing everything from software integration and feature readiness through to component release and supplier performance. You’ll be trusted to make informed decisions, drive recovery plans when needed, and ensure every milestone is met without compromising on excellence. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in validation, building and managing test plans, ensuring robust evidence of compliance, and leading components through to final engineering sign-off with confidence.

This role suits someone who thrives on ownership and problem-solving. You might already have a strong background in Body Electronics or similar automotive systems, with experience delivering both hardware and software in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. You’ll be comfortable leading cross-functional teams, engaging suppliers, and using data and analysis to guide your engineering decisions. If you’ve worked across the full development cycle and enjoy challenging the status quo to improve how things are done, you’ll feel right at home.

Beyond the technical side, this is about how you work. You’re collaborative, detail-focused, and clear in your communication. You take pride in delivering to a high standard, holding yourself accountable and continuously raising the bar. You’re someone who doesn’t just follow processes; you look for ways to refine and improve them.

As part of the role, you may also be involved in prototype vehicle testing, which could require you to achieve a Level 3 driving permit. There may be opportunities to travel internationally, including across Europe and the US, to work closely with suppliers and support vehicle testing activities, giving you real exposure to how your work is brought to life on a global stage.

If you’re looking for a role where you can combine technical depth with real influence, and where your work genuinely shapes the end product, this could be the perfect next step.
