There are very few engineering roles where you can directly influence the way a vehicle feels from behind the wheel. This is one of them.
At Aston Martin, Performance, Efficiency & Driveability are not simply technical measures. They are fundamental to how our vehicles are experienced by customers around the world. We are looking for a Performance, Efficiency & Driveability (PED) Manager to lead the team responsible for defining, developing, delivering and verifying these critical vehicle attributes across our future product portfolio.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a highly visible area of vehicle development, leading a team of specialists while working across engineering, programmes, purchasing, software, systems and vehicle attribute teams to ensure every Aston Martin delivers the character and performance expected of the brand.
As PED Manager, you will lead the strategy and delivery of performance, efficiency and driveability attributes across vehicle, system and component levels, both virtually and physically. You will shape targets, influence engineering decisions, guide verification activities and oversee the successful sign-off of these attributes throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to balance customer expectations, technical requirements, programme timing and commercial considerations. From defining future attribute roadmaps and benchmarking activities through to supporting testing, validation and issue resolution, this role sits at the heart of creating the driving experience that defines Aston Martin.
This role is equally about leadership. You'll be responsible for building, developing and motivating a high-performing team, ensuring the capability, structure and expertise are in place to support both current and future vehicle programmes. You'll also manage budgets, resources and testing activities while acting as the recognised technical authority for Performance, Efficiency & Driveability.
We're interested in hearing from experienced automotive engineering leaders who have a strong background in vehicle attribute development and a track record of delivering vehicle-level performance across complex programmes. You'll bring deep technical understanding of performance, efficiency and driveability development, combined with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. Experience working with testing, simulation and data analysis tools, as well as vehicle development and validation activities, will be important in helping you succeed in this role.
Beyond the technical expertise, we're looking for someone who enjoys bringing teams together, influencing across functions and making balanced decisions in a complex and fast-moving environment. You'll be comfortable leading discussions at senior level, translating technical data into meaningful insights and helping shape the future direction of vehicle attributes at Aston Martin
Based in Gaydon, this role offers the opportunity to work on some of the world's most exciting performance vehicles while helping define what comes next for Aston Martin. Occasional international travel may be required to support programme and business needs.
If you're passionate about vehicle performance and want to play a leading role in creating the next generation of Aston Martin driving experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
