At Aston Martin, every detail matters. From the way air flows across sculpted surfaces to how each component performs at speed, aerodynamics is fundamental to delivering performance, efficiency and driving emotion.
We are looking for a CFD Simulation Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of vehicles through high-fidelity virtual analysis.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the centre of vehicle development, supporting aerodynamic attributes and CFD simulation from early concept through to validation. You will contribute across the full aerodynamic landscape, including performance, cooling, aeroacoustics, and water and dirt management, ensuring every vehicle meets the standards of a high-performance luxury brand.
Working closely with design, testing and vehicle engineering teams, you will help guide technical decisions, influence vehicle architecture and refine aerodynamic performance using data-driven insight.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will develop and apply CFD models to explore and optimise aerodynamic performance, improving areas such as downforce, balance and drag. Alongside this, you will advance cooling strategies across powertrain, braking and HVAC systems, ensuring both performance and reliability are achieved.
Through structured simulation work, including sensitivity studies and design optimisation, you will support concept evaluation, architecture trade-offs and target setting. Your work will directly influence how vehicles are shaped and developed.
A strong focus of the role is ensuring simulation quality and credibility. You will build robust CFD models, define effective meshing and solver strategies, and ensure outputs provide clear, reliable insight for engineering decisions. By correlating simulation data with wind tunnel and real-world testing, you will continuously improve accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time.
Your Impact
As a subject matter specialist in aerodynamic CFD, you will bring technical leadership within your area. You will support issue resolution, guide aerodynamic development and contribute to the review and delivery of CAE outputs.
You will also play a key role in evolving how we work, improving tools, workflows and methodologies. By introducing automation, scripting and data analysis techniques, you will help enhance both efficiency and depth of insight.
Collaboration is central to this role. Working across disciplines such as thermal, NVH and vehicle dynamics, you will
