Attribute Lead Engineer - Security

Aston Martin is seeking an Attribute Lead Engineer – Security to define, develop and verify the Security Attribute across all vehicle programmes. This role is central to ensuring our vehicles deliver world‑class protection, trust and reassurance, combining subjective and objective KPIs that shape customer perception and meet global regulatory and industry standards.

Role overview

  • Lead the definition, delivery and verification of the Security Attribute at vehicle, system and component level using both virtual and physical assessment methods.
  • Own the security attribute strategy and roadmap, aligned with brand DNA, regulatory requirements (e.g. FMVSS, Thatcham, NCAP) and future vehicle programmes.
  • Establish and lead a broad cross‑functional stakeholder network across Engineering, ADAS, Electrical & Software, Quality, Product Strategy, Legal and external authorities.
  • Drive benchmarking, research and specification development in collaboration with the Advanced Product Creation (APC) team.
  • Track attribute performance through programme gateways, ensuring robust governance, issue resolution, DFMEA/DVP alignment and engineering reporting.

About you

  • Proven experience leading vehicle security attributes within an automotive OEM or closely related sector.
  • Strong understanding of automotive security and safety standards, test and verification methods.
  • Confident working across complex vehicle programmes (high or low volume) within structured product development frameworks.
  • Technically strong, analytical and comfortable influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent); statistical analysis or Six Sigma experience desirable.
  • Highly organised, resilient and capable of representing a world‑class luxury automotive brand.
