We’re offering a unique opportunity to join our IT & AI team as an Apprentice, where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting AI-powered systems used across our automotive business—from intelligent dashboards to predictive maintenance and connected services.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique?

At Aston Martin, we do more than build cars – we build legends. Working as part of the IT team, AI bridges traditional automotive systems with modern AI technologies — working on cloud platforms, enterprise data solutions, and intelligent applications that drive performance, safety, and innovation across our vehicles and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As an AI Apprentice in IT, you'll work with cross-functional teams of IT engineers, data scientists, and software developers to:

  • Assist in managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure for AI systems.
  • Help build data pipelines and support machine learning deployments.
  • Support MLOps and DevOps processes (version control, CI/CD, containerization).
  • Contribute to internal AI tools used for diagnostics, analytics, and automation.
  • Learn how AI integrates into vehicle systems and smart factories.
  • Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings and project planning.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking an individual who is eager to learn, solve problems, and make an impact in the automotive tech world.

  • Currently studying Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Eager to learn about AI applications in real-world automotive environments.
  • Familiar with Python, cloud computing basics (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and databases.
  • A problem-solver with a strong interest in both IT systems and AI.
  • A team player with good communication and organizational skills.

Essential requirements:

  • 3 B’s at A level to include Mathematics and Physics*
  • Applicants with a strong profile who are studying A level Physics or A level Mathematics may be considered.
  • Unless specified differently above, you will also need a minimum of GCSE grade 4 or C (or an equivalent qualification) in English Language and either Mathematics or a Science subject.
  • Able to commute to Gaydon headquarters by personal transport, due to limited public transport to the site.

Why Choose Aston Martin?

Our apprenticeship isn’t just a job! It’s the first step in a career full of opportunities.

  • Hands-on experience working with enterprise AI and IT systems in a leading automotive environment
  • Exposure to real projects that support vehicle innovation and digital transformation.
