International Trade and Customs Supervisor

Apply now Job no: 512461
Work type: Full Time - Contract
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Categories: Finance

Behind every Aston Martin that moves across international borders is a team making sure the right processes, controls and compliance measures are in place.

As an International Trade & Customs Supervisor, you'll join a specialist team responsible for supporting Aston Martin's global trade and customs operations. Working closely with colleagues across Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales and Aftersales, you'll help ensure the business remains compliant with international trade requirements while supporting the efficient movement of goods around the world.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with day-to-day operational responsibility. Supporting the International Trade & Customs Manager, you'll supervise the activities of our Trade & Customs Analysts, helping to prioritise workload, maintain high standards and ensure compliance obligations are met.

You'll be involved in a broad range of customs activities, from monitoring import and export processes and supporting ATA Carnet compliance, through to reviewing customs information, identifying risks and helping resolve operational issues. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop practical solutions, improve processes and maintain effective customs controls.

Day to day, you'll act as a trusted point of contact for customs-related queries, particularly within Aftersales, while supporting projects focused on customs procedures and technology improvements. You'll also help develop standard operating procedures, conduct risk assessments and provide regular updates on operational performance and compliance activities.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring strong customs and international trade experience, together with a detailed understanding of UK and EU customs legislation. You may have developed your expertise within manufacturing, automotive, logistics, retail or another international business environment where customs compliance is an important part of day-to-day operations.

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working across multiple priorities. You'll enjoy building relationships, solving problems and working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your expertise within a growing Trade & Customs function, working alongside experienced specialists and contributing to the continued development of customs operations across Aston Martin. UK travel may occasionally be required to support suppliers, partners and Aston Martin facilities.

If you're passionate about customs compliance, international trade and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
