Work type: Full Time - Permanent
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire

At Aston Martin, we are driven by a passion for creating the world's most beautiful high-performance vehicles. Every Aston Martin is the product of exceptional engineering, innovation, and craftsmanship. As we continue to shape the future of luxury automotive technology, we are seeking an EE Test Lead Engineer to play a pivotal role in the validation and integration of our next generation electrical and electronic systems.

As EE Test Lead Engineer, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of all Software and electrical testing activities within the department. Acting as the project lead for vehicle programmes and software integration milestones, you will oversee test readiness, resource planning, timing and execution across vehicle, laboratory and rig environments, ensuring robust verification and validation of increasingly complex electrical architectures.

Working across cross-functional engineering teams, you will define and deliver comprehensive test plans for vehicle programmes and software platforms, ensuring testing activities are aligned with software platform content and quality standards. You will approve test cases, support issue investigation and resolution activities, and drive the development of effective test methodologies and automated testing solutions that improve efficiency, traceability and product quality.

You will take ownership of testing strategies, resource planning and test infrastructure development, including HiL, laboratory and vehicle-based testing capabilities. The role will also see you champion best practice in test management processes, leading the adoption and training of Siemens Polarion while supporting the continuous evolution of software integration and validation processes.

To be successful, you will bring strong leadership experience with the ability to manage people and guide cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges. You will possess proven experience in automotive electrical testing and integration, ideally across areas such as body electronics, powertrain, chassis systems, networks or HMI. Experience of HiL, laboratory vehicle and electrical rig testing is essential, alongside a strong understanding of software and feature fault diagnosis.

You will also have experience of automotive pre-production build environments and vehicle fleet support activities, including issue identification, containment and resolution. Knowledge of VTestStudio and CAPL programming would be highly advantageous, together with a passion for continuous improvement, automation and the development of robust testing frameworks.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the validation strategy of some of the most technologically advanced luxury vehicles in the world while helping shape the future of electrical system integration at Aston Martin.
