Quality Systems & Data Lead
Location: St Athan / Gaydon (with regular cross-site travel)
At Aston Martin, quality is at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to evolve our manufacturing and business capabilities, we are investing in the systems, processes and data that enable world-class performance. We are now seeking a talented Quality Systems & Data Lead to join our Quality team and play a pivotal role in shaping how quality information is managed, reported and utilised across the business.
Reporting to the Quality Strategy & Systems Manager, this is a unique opportunity to lead the development of the data infrastructure that underpins Aston Martin's Quality function. Working across our St Athan and Gaydon sites, you will be responsible for creating a connected, reliable and transparent quality reporting environment, enabling informed decision-making at every level of the organisation.
As the Quality Systems & Data Lead, you will design, develop and maintain robust data flows across multiple systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency and accessibility. You will help transform fragmented information into a single source of truth by creating clear data architectures, centralising key performance indicators and establishing effective reporting pathways that support governance, performance management and continuous improvement.
A significant aspect of the role will involve collaborating closely with Quality, IT, Aftersales and wider business stakeholders to align data definitions, reporting standards and performance measures. Acting as a key interface between technical data teams and operational users, you will ensure that complex datasets are translated into meaningful insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making.
You will lead the creation of automated dashboards and reporting tools, enabling teams and senior leaders to access accurate, timely and actionable information. In addition, you will support the development of automated escalation and alerting systems that proactively identify risks, trends and opportunities across the Quality function.
This role also provides the opportunity to drive innovation through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and data intelligence initiatives. From assessing business requirements and data readiness through to deployment and ongoing performance monitoring, you will support the evolution of data-driven decision-making across Aston Martin's Quality organisation.
To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience in data systems, quality systems, business planning or analytics within a complex manufacturing or engineering environment. You will possess strong expertise in data architecture, ERP systems and information management, alongside advanced skills in reporting and visualisation platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL and Python. Experience developing data pipelines and automated reporting solutions will be essential.
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships across multiple functions, present complex information clearly and influence positive change. A natural problem solver, you will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving continuous improvement and identifying innovative solutions to business challenges.
Experience within the automotive sector would be advantageous, particularly in quality systems or reporting environments. Knowledge of digital transformation programmes, enterprise system deployment, machine learning or predictive analytics would also be highly beneficial.
This position is ideally suited to an individual who is passionate about data, systems and continuous improvement, and who thrives on turning information into meaningful business value. In return, Aston Martin offers the opportunity to work within one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands, where your expertise will directly influence quality performance and business excellence across the organisation.
If you are ready to help shape the future of quality systems and data-driven decision-making at Aston Martin, we would love to hear from you.
