Before an Aston Martin reaches the road, it must first prove itself in development.

Every electrical system, every connection and every harness must perform flawlessly through testing, validation and pre-production build phases. That's where this role comes in.

We're looking for an Electrical Engineering EDS DVP Technician to join our Electrical Engineering team and play a hands-on role in the development of Aston Martin's future vehicles.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into technical challenges and seeing the direct impact of their work. You'll be supporting the development, modification and validation of electrical distribution systems across multiple vehicle programmes, working closely with EDS Engineers to ensure prototype and pre-production vehicles are ready for testing and delivery.

No two days will look the same- one day, you could be preparing and updating prototype vehicle harnesses to support specific test activities, the next, you'll be investigating vehicle or rig faults, carrying out root cause analysis, implementing harness modifications and helping engineering teams solve complex electrical issues before they reach production.

You'll become a key member of the development team, supporting vehicle build phases, carrying out harness rework activities and ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date throughout the development process. Your expertise will help identify issues early, support programme delivery and ensure Aston Martin maintains the exceptional standards expected from one of the world's most iconic automotive brands.

We're looking for someone with strong experience in automotive electrical systems and a solid understanding of harness design, construction and modification. You'll be confident reading electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and harness drawings, while also having practical experience carrying out harness rework activities such as re-pinning, routing changes and circuit modifications.

To be successful in this role, you'll need an excellent understanding of automotive electrical components and systems, along with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced development environment. Experience within pre-production, prototype or vehicle development environments would be highly advantageous, as would exposure to CAD systems, NX, Teamcentre or wider product development processes.

Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who is proactive, analytical and naturally curious. Someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work and collaborates effectively with colleagues across multiple functions. You'll be someone who doesn't simply identify issues, but actively works toward practical solutions.

A relevant HNC, HND or equivalent qualification is essential, alongside a hands-on approach and a genuine passion for automotive engineering.

Based across Gaydon and Wellesbourne, this role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of vehicle development, helping shape the electrical systems that power future Aston Martin programmes.

This is more than a technician role, it's your opportunity to play a vital part in the creation of some of the world's most desirable performance cars.
