Design Programme Lead

Apply now Job no: 512338
Work type: Full Time - Permanent
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Categories: Design

Some roles help deliver programmes. This role helps keep an entire Design organisation connected, aligned and moving forward.

At Aston Martin, our Design teams are responsible for creating some of the most desirable vehicles in the world. Behind every sketch, model, design review and programme milestone sits a network of people working together to bring ideas to life. As our next Design Project Leader, you'll become a vital part of that network.

This is an opportunity to sit at the centre of the action, working across multiple vehicle programmes and connecting Design with Programme Management, Engineering and wider business functions. You'll be the person helping to ensure priorities are clear, milestones are achieved, governance activities are delivered and Design has a strong voice throughout the programme lifecycle.

We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, who can confidently manage multiple priorities, and who thrives when working with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll spend your time coordinating programme activities, supporting gateway reviews, preparing information for leadership teams, tracking progress against key milestones and helping Design deliver on its commitments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting programme reviews, business planning activities, resource planning, governance processes and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with senior leaders and programme teams, helping to identify risks, monitor progress and provide valuable insight that supports effective decision-making.

This is a role for someone who naturally builds relationships, communicates effectively and isn't afraid to take ownership. You'll be joining a team that values collaboration, trust and accountability, where your ability to connect people and keep programmes moving will have a genuine impact on the success of future Aston Martin projects.

Previous experience within Programme Management, Project Coordination, Design Operations or a similar environment will be important, along with strong organisational skills, stakeholder management capability and the confidence to work across multiple functions. Experience within automotive programmes would be beneficial, but we're equally interested in individuals who can bring transferable programme delivery experience and a proactive mindset.

What will make the biggest difference, however, is your character. We're looking for someone who is adaptable, resilient and collaborative. Someone who remains calm when priorities shift, enjoys solving problems and can quickly establish credibility with a wide variety of stakeholders. In a dynamic and fast-paced environment, these qualities are just as important as technical experience.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to work within one of the most iconic automotive brands in the world, gaining exposure to a broad range of programmes, senior stakeholders and business activities. Whether you're already operating at this level or you're ready for your next step, this role offers the chance to make a visible contribution within Aston Martin Design whilst continuing to develop your own career.
