For over a century, Aston Martin has created some of the world's most iconic ultra-luxury performance vehicles. Defined by exceptional craftsmanship, beautiful design and exhilarating performance, our vehicles represent the very best of British engineering. As we continue to invest in the next generation of automotive innovation, we are seeking an Innovation & Advanced Technology Lead – Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics to help shape the future of our products and technologies.
This is a unique opportunity to influence Aston Martin's future vehicle strategy long before programmes enter production. Working at the forefront of advanced systems engineering, you will lead the development and delivery of the Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics technology roadmap, identifying emerging technologies and translating complex technical possibilities into actionable engineering direction. Your work will ensure future vehicle concepts are technically feasible, strategically aligned and ready for successful programme execution.
As the Innovation & Advanced Technology Lead, you will be responsible for driving early-phase concept feasibility activities across Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics systems. You will assess new technologies, vehicle architectures and commodity strategies, ensuring compatibility, integration readiness and alignment with business, brand and product objectives. Through close collaboration with engineering, procurement, suppliers and programme teams, you will provide the insight and technical leadership needed to support critical decisions during the earliest stages of vehicle development.
A key aspect of the role will involve evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities that can enhance vehicle performance, capability and customer experience. You will lead feasibility assessments and trade-off studies, helping define future system architectures and integration approaches while balancing performance, cost, manufacturability and supplier readiness considerations.
You will also play an important role in evolving Aston Martin's systems engineering capability, driving continuous improvement in tools, methodologies and frameworks. By maintaining a strong understanding of emerging technologies, supplier capabilities and industry developments, you will help foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and technical excellence across the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical/Electronic or Systems Engineering, with a master’s degree advantageous. You will bring proven experience in advanced systems engineering, technology road mapping, concept feasibility or early-stage vehicle integration, coupled with strong
knowledge of Smart Chassis & Vehicle Dynamics systems within a high-performance automotive environment.
You will possess a strong understanding of vehicle architectures and cross-system integration principles, with the ability to assess technical feasibility and translate engineering insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. Experience collaborating across engineering, procurement and programme management functions will be essential, alongside excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of systems modelling, simulation and data analysis techniques would be highly beneficial, as would experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), electrified vehicles, autonomous technologies or advanced mobility platforms. Most importantly, you will have a passion for automotive innovation, a hands-on delivery mindset and the ability to turn emerging technologies into meaningful opportunities that shape the future of Aston Martin.
At Aston Martin, you will have the opportunity to influence the technologies, systems and vehicles that define our future product portfolio. Working alongside some of the industry's most talented engineers and innovators, you will help deliver world-class driving experiences that remain true to the Aston Martin brand whilst pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
If you are excited by emerging technologies, advanced systems engineering and the opportunity to shape the future of ultra-luxury high-performance vehicles, we would love to hear from you.
