At Aston Martin, we are driven by a passion for excellence, innovation, and the pursuit of perfection. As one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands, we pride ourselves on delivering products of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. We are now seeking a Lead QMS Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring our Quality Management System continues to meet the highest regulatory and operational standards across our manufacturing and satellite sites.
Reporting to the QMS Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, development, and continuous improvement of Aston Martin's Quality Management System, ensuring successful certification and compliance with external regulatory authorities. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites and functions, influencing quality standards throughout the business while engaging with senior leadership, operational teams, and external audit bodies.
As the Lead QMS Engineer, you will lead the deployment and ongoing management of the Quality Management System, ensuring documentation is maintained, updated, and communicated effectively throughout the organisation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to plan, coordinate, and deliver successful audits, supporting the achievement and maintenance of accreditation against recognised quality standards. You will also act as the key escalation point for QMS-related issues across satellite sites, monitor departmental performance metrics, support risk management activities, and ensure quality processes remain aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
This position requires a confident and experienced quality professional who can build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. You will regularly collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, research and development, parts quality teams, senior managers, directors, and executive leadership to drive quality excellence and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will bring proven experience within a manufacturing environment, together with extensive internal and external auditing expertise and a recognised Lead Auditor qualification. You will be a highly organised problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to present findings and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders are essential.
Experience within the automotive sector, knowledge of Lean principles, familiarity with quality tools such as control plans and PFMEAs, and the ability to analyse and communicate data-driven insights would be highly advantageous. An engineering degree, or equivalent relevant experience, would also be beneficial.
We are looking for an individual who demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, a genuine passion for quality, and the flexibility to support manufacturing operations. The role will involve regular travel between Aston Martin sites and will include activities conducted on or near the production line.
In return, Aston Martin offers the opportunity to work with a globally recognised luxury brand, influence the future of quality across our operations, and contribute to the delivery of world-class products that embody our commitment to excellence.
