About the Role

Within Aston Martin, the IT Project Management Office (PMO) acts as a central hub that brings consistency, structure, and clarity to how projects and programmes are delivered. It plays a key role in ensuring that work across the IT function is aligned to wider business priorities, delivered efficiently, and governed effectively.

This is a varied and impactful hybrid role, combining PMO governance with hands-on delivery. You will be responsible for supporting core PMO routines whilst also leading smaller initiatives, change requests, and work packages that contribute directly to vehicle programmes and business change.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and confident working independently. You will be comfortable influencing project and programme managers, often more senior stakeholders, to ensure compliance with governance standards, reporting expectations, and delivery milestones.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will take ownership of key PMO processes, ensuring consistency and quality across the IT portfolio. This includes managing the project tooling landscape, currently Monday.com Work Management and transitioning to Jira, where you will configure workflows, dashboards, automations, and reporting to support delivery teams effectively.

A key part of your role will be driving governance cadence across projects and programmes. You will coordinate weekly reporting cycles, follow up on updates, and escalate where required to maintain momentum and visibility. Alongside this, you will ensure strong discipline across RAID logs, risk registers, and budget tracking, maintaining high data quality and timely updates.

You will also play a central role in supporting gateway readiness, coordinating with project managers to ensure all required deliverables are prepared and submitted on time. In addition, you will support audit readiness by coordinating evidence collection and tracking actions, helping ensure the PMO remains compliant.

Beyond governance, you will lead the delivery of smaller initiatives and change requests, coordinating stakeholders and activities to achieve agreed outcomes. You will continuously look for ways to improve PMO processes, tools, and templates to reduce complexity and drive adoption.

As part of the wider PM community, you will provide guidance, share best practice, and support colleagues in using tools and following PMO standards consistently across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

You will bring experience working within a PMO or project delivery environment, with a strong understanding of governance routines, reporting cadences, and portfolio controls. You are confident managing multiple priorities and maintaining high levels of organisation and attention to detail.

Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or similar is essential, including configuring workflows, permissions, automations, and reporting dashboards. You will also have experience maintaining governance artefacts such as risk registers, RAID logs, and budget trackers.

You will be comfortable coordinating gateway readiness and ensuring required documentation is delivered on time, as well as managing smaller initiatives or change requests from initiation through to completion.

Crucially, you will be skilled at influencing without authority, able to work with and challenge more senior stakeholders in a constructive and professional way to drive compliance and delivery outcomes.

A relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience is expected, along with evidence of continuous development in project management, PMO practices, or related tooling.

How You’ll Work

You are naturally organised, dependable, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction. You take a pragmatic approach, applying structure where it adds value without creating unnecessary complexity.

You are a proactive self-starter who takes ownership, drives actions forward, and ensures outcomes are delivered. Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to build alignment, challenge constructively, and maintain positive working relationships across a wide stakeholder group.

Persistence, tact, and a collaborative mindset will enable you to successfully drive updates, improvements, and adherence to PMO standards across the business.

Why Aston Martin?

This is an opportunity to be part of a team that underpins the delivery of innovative technology and iconic vehicles. You will have the chance to shape how projects are governed and delivered, while developing your own experience across PMO practices, tools, and project delivery in a dynamic and high-performing environment.
