Role Overview
At Aston Martin, we are redefining the future of luxury performance through our Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. We are looking for an experienced and driven SVO Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-value vehicle programmes from early concept through to Start of Production.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day execution of SVO programmes. This role sits at the heart of cross-functional delivery, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards synonymous with Aston Martin.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will translate SVO product strategy into clear and structured operational plans, leading programmes from initial definition through to production readiness. You will bring together cross-functional stakeholders through the Project Steering Team, setting the governance and rhythm required to drive delivery while maintaining clear oversight of risks, issues, and dependencies.
You will be accountable for managing project scope, controlling costs, and maintaining detailed programme plans that track progress against key milestones and gateway deliverables. A critical part of your role will be ensuring that risks across cost, quality, and timing are actively managed, with mitigation strategies implemented and escalated where necessary.
Alongside programme delivery, you will play a key role in supporting core engineering and build activities, including BOM management, change control processes, and physical build phases. You will also ensure that the right resources are in place to meet delivery requirements and that collaboration across project teams, Vehicle Line Managers, and Programme Leads remains strong and effective.
As a leader, you will manage and develop a team of Project Leaders, setting clear objectives and building capability to ensure best-in-class delivery. You will also act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear insights, reporting, and guidance to support strategic decision-making.
About You
You will bring a strong engineering foundation, supported by a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, alongside a proven track record of delivering complex vehicle programmes or systems within an OEM or similar environment. Your experience will include working within structured New Product Introduction frameworks such as MISSION or GPDS, and you will have a deep understanding of full vehicle programme lifecycles.
You will be confident leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to balance technical, commercial, and timing priorities. Your leadership style will enable you to motivate teams and create an environment focused on delivery and continuous improvement.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail will be essential, as will your ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complexity with a logical and structured approach. You will be comfortable working with project planning and reporting tools and will bring a proactive mindset to problem-solving and risk management.
Additional Information
This role will require occasional travel to other Aston Martin sites, so a full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
