HR Business Partner

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HR Business Partner to join us at our Gaydon HQ, working closely with directors and managers across the business. You’ll be the trusted HR partner, delivering practical people solutions that support performance, change, and talent development.

You’ll build strong relationships with leaders and get under the skin of the business, understanding their priorities and helping them deliver outcomes through effective HR support. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the employee experience, listening to feedback and supporting improvements across the organisation.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Partnering with managers to understand business needs and deliver HR solutions
  • Supporting performance management, absence, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Leading and supporting talent activities such as succession planning and development
  • Supporting change initiatives and ensuring they land successfully
  • Managing employee relations cases from investigation through to hearing
  • Helping implement HR projects and new initiatives
  • Supporting HR policy and process development across the business
  • Providing guidance on UK employment law and HR best practice

 

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced HR professional, ideally CIPD qualified (or working towards)
  • Strong ER background, ideally in a unionised environment
  • Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Confident communicator and relationship builder, able to influence at all levels
  • Resilient, positive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Manufacturing, engineering or OEM experience desirable
  • Experience managing redundancy programmes is a plus
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

 

The practical details

  • Hybrid working – minimum of three days on-site per week(with the flexibility to be on-site more often where business needs require)
  • Travel between Aston Martin sites is required
  • Flexible start and finish times depending on events and location
