One day you might be working on a new CAD model; the next day assembling prototype vehicles or coordinating a group of trainees. The robotics engineer will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving quality of life through commercial applications of advanced robotics and related technologies.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, build, program and test robotic systems to perform automated jobs in this industry
  • Tasks include using CAD software to design, building and testing prototypes, analysing data from robot sensors, troubleshooting faults and researching new ways to use robotics and artificial intelligence.
  • Learn to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

What We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for an individual who is captivated by the automotive industry and who has an insatiable curiosity for project management within this sector. You should possess foundational problem-solving skills that help you tackle challenges head-on and contribute meaningfully to change management. Proficiency in computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, is essential, along with an ability to prioritize tasks like a pro. Your knack for creating insightful KPIs and reporting them using Excel and PowerPoint will set you apart.

Essential requirements:

  • At least 96 UCAS points (three Cs at A level/T level core pass C) or an equivalent academic or professional qualification. 
  • GCSE/Level 2: Grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Able to commute to the Gaydon site by personal transport
  • Able to attend the Milton Keynes University by personal transport as and when required*
