We're looking for a Financial Analyst- EU to join our EMEA Finance team in Frankfurt, Germany. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex financial challenges, and working in an international environment where accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement are valued. You'll play a key role in ensuring our financial reporting meets German compliance requirements while supporting the wider business through timely, accurate and insightful financial information.
Working closely with colleagues across the UK, Germany and the wider EMEA region, you'll take ownership of a broad range of accounting and reporting activities. From leading month-end processes and preparing financial reporting information, to supporting audits and ensuring compliance with German accounting standards, you'll be trusted to manage your own workload while building strong relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the business.
A typical week could see you preparing accruals and analysing cost centre performance, supporting statutory accounts preparation, managing intercompany reconciliations, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, working alongside auditors, and helping ensure our financial controls remain robust and effective. You'll also collaborate with regional teams to ensure financial information is reported accurately and in line with legal, accounting and tax requirements.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. You'll be comfortable working to deadlines, naturally curious when investigating variances or issues, and confident communicating financial information to a range of audiences. You'll have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, alongside excellent analytical and Excel skills that allow you to interpret complex information and turn it into meaningful insight.
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have gained experience within a multinational organisation or audit environment and who have an understanding of German Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (HGB/GAAP). Experience using accounting systems such as DATEV, Infor LN or similar ERP platforms as well as migration projects would be highly beneficial. Whilst not essential, a professional accountancy qualification such as BilanzbuchhalterIN or SteuerfachwirtIN (or the English/international equivalents ACA, ACCA or CA/CFA) would be advantageous, as would experience supporting system implementations or process improvement initiatives. German language skills would also be welcomed but are not a requirement. The general working and communication language in this role is English, orally and written.
This is a role that offers genuine ownership, visibility and development. You'll work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and Head of Finance, gaining exposure to key financial reporting activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the function. Career development is actively supported through regular one-to-one discussions and development planning, with future progression opportunities available within the wider finance organisation.
As part of our hybrid working approach, you'll be expected to spend approximately three days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Due to the nature of the role, some flexibility will also be required during month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting periods to ensure key deadlines are successfully achieved. Occasional travel to the Aston Martin headquarters in Gaydon, UK, is also part of this job.
