🌍 About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of HR Business Partnering in the UK, this role is pivotal in supporting our Regional President and their leadership team across Singapore, China, Japan, Australia, and other key markets. You’ll operate at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring that our regional business goals are supported by a robust, agile, and people-centric HR strategy.

This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of international HR practices, regional employment legislation, and the ability to translate global initiatives into locally relevant solutions. You’ll be the bridge between our UK-based HR function and the Asia-Pacific business, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services, leading key projects, and providing critical insights that inform our global people strategy.

🧭 Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for leading the HR agenda across the region, which includes:

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business challenges and develop HR strategies that drive performance, engagement, and growth.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on local employment law, industrial relations, and ER matters, ensuring compliance and best practice across all jurisdictions.
  • Talent Management: Lead regional talent initiatives including assessment, succession planning, and development programs that identify and nurture high-potential individuals.
  • Organisational Development: Support organisational reviews and change initiatives, helping to shape structures that enable agility and innovation.
  • Employee Experience: Champion listening strategies and engagement activities that reflect our commitment to creating a workplace where people thrive.
  • Project Leadership: Act as HR lead on key global and regional projects, contributing business insight and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Policy & Process: Support the rollout and adoption of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and cultural relevance across markets.

🎯 Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a resilient, proactive, and highly collaborative HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment. You’ll need:

  • Proven experience in HR business partnering across multiple countries, ideally within APAC.
  • Strong knowledge of regional employment legislation and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and build trust across cultures and seniority levels.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to execute operational tasks with precision.
  • Experience working with international teams and managing cross-border contracts.
  • Willingness to travel across AML sites and to the UK as required.

You’ll be a natural relationship builder, able to balance local needs with global direction, and comfortable navigating ambiguity with confidence and clarity.
