Job Purpose:

To lead the day to day work of fault finding and resolution for the HV components

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

As HV integration and data analyst in Powertrain Electrification, you will specialise in High Voltage high-performance automotive applications and be responsible for the following activities:

  • Leading the integration of the HV components for the Hypercar projects using your deep technical knowledge of Powertrain Electrification system technology to achieve vehicle attributes
  • Support vehicle development and testing:
  • Look at data, define issues and problems and report back to DVP and EPT
  • Keep record of the issues and look into resolution of each of those issues
  • Evaluate the function of the HV components in conjunction with other components in conjunction with the calibration and the integration team
  • Create flashing processes with the help of the component owners to support DVP as well as production of the vehicles
  • Liaise with the production team on day-to-day issues and how they should be resolved
  • Evaluate CAN, CAN-FD,XCP etc. data and prepare reports of issues and possible solutions

Qualification & Experience:

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Powertrain Electrification systems for BEVs or PHEVs
  • In-depth knowledge of  CAN CAN-FD, Ethernet, XCP etc. CAN scripting, CAN Configs etc.
  • Project management experience.
  • Use of software like Jira, Teamworks etc
  • Hands on experience of working with low voltage and high voltage electrical and electronic systems
  • Delivery of Powertrain Electrification systems concepts and integration for hybrid and/or electric vehicles
  • Delivery of Powertrain Electrification systems testing, validation and data analysis for hybrid and/or electric vehicles
  • Proven H&S knowledge and application within a HV vehicle environment
  • HV Automotive Powertrain Electrification systems development for high performance hybrid and/or electric vehicles
  • Understanding of Powertrain Electrification system functionalities and attributes at vehicle, system and component levels
  • Successful delivery experience of Powertrain Electrification systems to production
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of Powertrain Electrification systems technology, including:
  • Automotive powertrain electrical, electronic and mechanical integration knowledge, including:
  • LV and HV component specification
  • Electrical and electronic integration of Powertrain Electrification systems into vehicle (including Electrical Architecture)
  • Experience of SiL, HiL, and ViL activities in automotive laboratories and workshops
  • Authoring electrical test plans, validating testing specifications and parameters and producing test reports
  • Knowledge of electrical automotive network and diagnostic knowledge J1939 Standard (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet).
  • Driving product development issues to a resolution
  • Strong user of MATLAB/Simulink
  • Engineering Degree in Electro-chemistry, Electrical, Electronic and/or related field
  • High Voltage Senior Authorised Person Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Postgraduate Engineering Degree in Electro-chemistry, Electrical, Electronic and/or related field
  • High Voltage Live Working Qualification
  • A second European language would be a benefit


  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organise multiple inputs into succinct summary
  • Accomplished writer of technical and project status reports
  • Fluent presenter of technical information at all levels including to senior director level at AML and in external companies
  • Ability to challenge experts, consultants and seniors by presenting measured opinion
  • Passion for the advancement of hybrid and electric powertrain and vehicle technology
