At Aston Martin, every vehicle we build begins with understanding our customers, our markets and the opportunities ahead.
We're looking for a Market Insights & Demand Planning Lead to join our Global Sales team and play a key role in helping shape the future of our business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on turning data into meaningful insights, enjoys influencing strategic decisions and wants to make a direct impact on the performance of one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands.
Sitting at the heart of our Sales Planning function, you'll act as a crucial link between our teams in Gaydon, our regional sales teams and our global dealer network. Through market analysis, forecasting and demand planning, you'll help ensure the business has a clear understanding of future demand, emerging risks and opportunities across our global markets.
This role is about much more than producing reports. You'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end volume planning process, developing robust forecasts and helping the business make informed decisions based on high-quality analysis and market intelligence. Working closely with stakeholders across Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Strategy, Marketing and Regional Sales Teams, you'll help create a clear picture of future demand and drive alignment across the organisation.
You'll take ownership of the rolling volume plan, continually refining forecasts, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy. Using data from multiple sources, you'll analyse market trends, assess order intake performance and evaluate how market, supply chain or commercial changes could impact future volumes. A key part of the role will involve supporting the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, providing meaningful analysis and insight that supports both short and long-term business planning. You'll also develop reporting tools, dashboards and planning models that improve visibility and enable senior stakeholders to make confident, data-driven decisions.
Success in this role will come from your ability to look beyond the numbers and understand the commercial story behind them. You'll be comfortable working with large and complex datasets, translating information into clear recommendations and communicating insights to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership teams. You'll enjoy challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping stakeholders make better decisions through robust analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
We're looking for someone with strong numerate and analytical capability who has experience supporting forecasting and planning processes within a commercial environment. You'll understand the importance of accuracy, consistency and repeatability in data reporting and will be confident working with large volumes of information from multiple sources. Experience identifying trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis will be key, as will the ability to transform complex and disparate datasets into concise, meaningful insights that support business decisions.
You'll have experience producing management reporting and presenting findings to stakeholders, designing coherent and engaging reporting outputs that clearly tell the story behind the data. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, including modelling, scenario planning and data manipulation, alongside experience using business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms. You'll be comfortable working independently, quickly understanding business requirements and delivering high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
Just as importantly, you'll be a confident communicator who can influence stakeholders, explain complex analysis in a simple and engaging way and build effective working relationships across multiple functions. You'll be highly organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and motivated by continuous improvement. Whether your background is in sales planning, demand planning, volume planning, business planning or a similar commercially focused analytical role, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where your insights can have a real impact on future performance.
This is more than a planning role. It's an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, work with teams across the global business and help shape the future direction of Aston Martin through data, insight and commercial understanding.
