Seals Project Engineer
Gaydon, Warwickshire | Hybrid

Some engineering roles focus on individual components. This one is about making sure everything works together.

As a Seals Project Engineer, you'll play a central role in the development of our next generation of vehicles, leading the design, delivery and performance of sealing systems from concept through to production. Working at the heart of Body Engineering, you'll be responsible for ensuring your commodities achieve demanding targets for quality, cost, timing and functional performance whilst collaborating with designers, suppliers, manufacturing teams and programme stakeholders across the business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership. You'll lead engineering releases, drive commodity strategies, manage critical interfaces, and take responsibility for ensuring sealing systems meet performance requirements through both simulation and physical validation. From supporting early concept development through to resolving complex build and launch concerns, you'll be a key technical voice throughout the vehicle development cycle.

You'll coordinate suppliers and internal teams, lead design and assembly reviews, manage failure prevention activities including DFMEA and lessons learnt processes, and ensure robust engineering solutions are delivered on time. You'll also support manufacturing feasibility, drive root cause investigations, develop engineering specifications and provide technical direction across both internal and external CAD resources.

We're looking for someone who brings significant experience within sealing systems engineering, ideally gained within the automotive sector, and who is comfortable operating in fast-paced pre-production and launch environments. You will have a strong understanding of sealing design, manufacturing techniques and relevant legislation, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across different levels of the organisation.

Experience with Failure Mode Avoidance methodologies is highly desirable, while knowledge of NX and AML AMPCS processes would be an advantage. Most importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes a proactive approach, learns quickly and thrives when balancing multiple priorities and challenging deadlines.

You'll join a talented team responsible for developing body structures, closures, glazing and sealing systems that contribute directly to the quality, refinement and performance of some of the world's most desirable vehicles.

If you're ready to take ownership of complex engineering challenges and help shape the future of luxury automotive engineering, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and become part of the team bringing Aston Martin's next generation of vehicles to life.
