Apply now Job no: 511916
Work type: Full Time - Permanent
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Categories: Electrical

We are looking for a Software Integration Engineer to join our EE Integration team within Research & Development. The role focuses on delivering and integrating vehicle software in line with programme requirements, ensuring features and functions are implemented effectively across all build phases.

Working closely with Electrical Architecture and Commodity teams, you will support the introduction of new and existing features, help resolve technical issues, and contribute to bringing vehicle software to life from early prototypes through to first production vehicles. The role involves participation in engineering reviews and programme forums, along with hands‑on support during prototype builds, production line activity and fleet testing.

What you’ll bring

You will have experience in a technical automotive electrical or software‑focused role, with an understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay or Ethernet. You’ll be familiar with the product development lifecycle, particularly software deployment and integration, and have an awareness of automotive diagnostics standards and tools.

The role requires an analytical and practical approach to problem‑solving, the ability to interpret technical requirements and circuit diagrams, and clear written and verbal communication skills. You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively, building positive relationships with a range of stakeholders, and managing your own tasks to support quality, cost and delivery objectives.

An appropriate engineering degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience with scripting languages, issue‑tracking systems, prototype or lab environments, and awareness of Functional Safety or Cyber Security principles would be beneficial but are not essential.

Additional information

Some travel within Europe or internationally may be required to support vehicle testing.

Why join us?

This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical capability, gain exposure to complex vehicle programmes, and progress your career within a supportive and collaborative engineering environment.
