At Aston Martin Lagonda, the Systems Engineering team is responsible for defining system requirements and guiding commodity implementation through feature ownership.
We are looking for a System Owner – Low Voltage Power to take responsibility for the low voltage power supply systems (12V and 48V) across all vehicles.
The Role
You will develop and maintain low voltage powernet control strategies across all vehicle programmes. This includes areas such as charging strategy, load management, deep discharge protection and Q-drain self-test.
You will also be responsible to maintain and enhance the low voltage load simulation model using Matlab and Simulink.
You will lead cross-functional teams during low voltage testing activities, including Q-drain and cold crank testing. You will also lead issue investigation activities and support internal teams where required.
The role includes developing the Low voltage system design using MBSE methodology and mapping of system requirements into components and elements.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems and taking ownership of delivering robust engineering solutions. You will bring a mix of technical expertise and a proactive, team-focused approach. You will need:
- Strong knowledge of automotive low voltage power supply systems and energy storage technologies, including batteries and charging systems such as DC-DC converters
- Experienced in system engineering with a good understanding of the Model Based System Engineering approach.
- Experience in system simulation using Matlab and Simulink, with an understanding of automotive product development from concept through to launch
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering issues, supported by strong problem-solving and analytical skills

You build positive relationships, communicate clearly and confidently, and are comfortable sharing ideas and presenting information.
