🚗 Q Commission Engineering PMT Lead – Bespoke Innovation, Delivered
Step into a pivotal leadership role within Aston Martin Lagonda’s Q Commission—where craftsmanship meets cutting-edge engineering. As Engineering PMT Lead, you’ll oversee the delivery of bespoke customer content across all AML vehicle lines, driving precision, creativity, and excellence in every project.
Working within a small but focused team, you’ll lead all engineering activity across new vehicle programmes. From developing CAD models and robust test plans to engineering feasibility and supplier development, your influence will shape every stage of bespoke content creation. You’ll serve as the voice of Q Engineering across programme forums and gateways, guiding your team toward successful delivery—on time, to budget, and above expectations.
Your leadership extends beyond technical execution. You’ll mentor two direct reports, with scope to grow the team, fostering a culture of ownership, quality and collaboration. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with AML Design, Manufacturing Operations, PD Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Quality—plus external development partners and suppliers—ensuring every detail aligns with the bespoke customer vision.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
- A solid understanding of the automotive lifecycle and engineering processes.
- Experience in low-volume, high-quality production.
- The ability to manage multiple, complex projects and thrive in a dynamic environment.
Previous leadership in an automotive setting, and familiarity with graphics, trim, composites, and brightware, will serve you well. A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent experience—is essential.
This is your opportunity to work on a range of unique engineering challenges across various vehicle commodities, from prototype to launch. Occasional travel to suppliers and AML’s St. Athan site may be required to ensure flawless execution.
