The candidate will be required to tear-down, build, service and maintain Aston Martin prototype vehicles / bucks to facilitate both whole vehicle & component testing. Support overseas testing.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow H&S guidelines.
Vehicle tear down.
Strip and inspect parts.
HV component assembly and operation (training provided).
Diagnosis and resolution of electrical issues with prototype vehicles / test rigs.
Component, software and coding updates to the required level, ensuring all vehicle updates are appropriately documented.
Plan & coordinate training to achieve team versatility requirements.
If required, support prototype test vehicles whilst on test, both in the UK and abroad, providing technical knowledge and facilitating smooth running of vehicle tests.
Liaise with software and hardware suppliers for issue resolution.
Provide remote support and direction to engineers/technicians with problems in the field.
Provide support and technical knowledge to dealer networks and regional offices.
Manufacture / sub-assembly of relevant components i.e. breakout boxes, gateway modules.
Liaise with system and development engineers regarding possible issues identified.
Problem solving to aid in solution of current vehicle issues.
Qualification & Experience:
Ability to perform detailed inspection
Proficient with using all Aston Martin diagnostic/programing tools – iflex, evodiag, monaco, canalyser.
Failure investigations and problem solving
Working across functional teams effectively
Positive, can do attitude is a must
