Functional Project Manager - Software & Electronics Technology

In our newly created role of Functional Project Manager - Software & Electronics, you will be responsible for the delivery of components and ensuring that day-to-day activities align with timing and budget.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be a logical thinker with strong leadership skills. This role requires an individual who can manage and prioritise tasks effectively while demonstrating good time management. Working with a team of dedicated professionals, your remit is to create and manage system definition to ensure compatibility between functions and integration with programme teams. Escalating and communicating changes, you will deliver component-specific content to vehicle Gateway and Checkpoint deliverables within the required timescale and standards.

Your role is crucial in liaising with vehicle project managers to ensure timely completion of Bill of Materials within the function. You will also monitor and steer component delivery to support Prototype Builds and work closely with various teams to support cost target setting. Seeking out opportunities to improve processes will be a key aspect of your role.

You're not one to shy away from challenges and you won't be limited in your responsibilities. In this role, you will work to high standards with strict deadlines, forming and maintaining relationships across the business with strong ties to Engineering Product and Component Teams as well as cross-functional teams such as Finance and Procurement.

As a Functional Project Manager - Software & Electronics, you will thrive on making an impact and relish the opportunity to have a significant role in a new position at Aston Martin. Your remit includes supporting component delivery within a specific Engineering function and ensuring alignment with timing and budget. Trust is essential in managing component timing and seeking out opportunities for process improvement.
