Job Purpose:

Take the lead in building frameworks to enable Automated Regression across multiple Products, including Salesforce, Cloud based ERP (LN), and Product Lifecycle Management (Siemens PLM) to identify and minimise impact of regression with introduction of new code, configuration or data.

Working with and leveraging managed service providers to help iterate on a wide-ranging regression asset across the business’ IT portfolio.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• To work across Managed Service Partners, to build Automated Regression frameworks and test case coverage across multiple Products, including Salesforce, Cloud based ERP (LN), Legacy Systems, Vehicle configuration (MHP) and Product Lifecycle Management (Siemens PLM) to ensure no regression occurs with introduction of new code, configuration or data
• Create, debug and maintain automated regression test frameworks and scripts, testing UI, API, configuration and database, whilst ensuring full coverage and scope
• Create and report documentation summarising test results and investigate failures to ensure accuracy when raising defects
• Work with Business Process Centre of Excellence (CoE), Functional Test Leads and Business Analysts to identify candidates for automated regression
• Gain a solid understanding of how the code functions and interacts with data, integrations and review tests and test plans to ensure they are valid and valuable
• Gain a firm understanding of the business process (working with the CoE) and, reviewing specifications and user stories, provide exception criteria and testing Proof of Concepts (PoC) to assist validating the requirements
• Work with SaaS technology, working in partnership with automated test framework providers to ensure a seamless coverage of testing
• Develop robust strategies for Performance Testing with a strong understanding of the architectural landscape

Qualification & Experience:

• Demonstrate experience of successfully creating automated regression frameworks (Selenium, Specflow/Cucumber) with a firm understanding of a valuable automated approach
• Understanding of testing methodologies (e.g. BDD, TDD, ATDD) with experience in automated practices including Unit, Integration and cross-browser approaches
• Knowledge of CICD / Azure DevOps / Automated Pipeline tools and practices
• Understanding of Agile / SCRUM Methodologies
• Knowledge and experience in testing ERP applications
• Excellent communication skills, working with developers, Business Analysts, other IT Leads
