Job Purpose:

To own and be responsible for the user experience and in vehicle HMI.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 5-year HMI strategy & foster relevant new technologies to implementation, within agreed budget, timing. 
  • Support with defining targets for future models.
  • Deliver the Programme quality, cost, function and timing requirements for the HMI features you are responsible for.
  • Ensure that the systems meet the attribute targets (with suppliers), creating & managing recovery plans as required.
  • Project manage the suppliers in order to ensure your deliverables are met
  • Conduct Aston Martin whole vehicle testing for HMI features both within & outside of the UK with a focus on customer acceptance.
  • Manage issues in the Aston Martin Concern management system.
  • Work with a cross functional team to ensure that all stakeholders deliver the support required to deliver your systems on time and to budget.
  • Create and maintain UX wireframes and State charts for Infotainment systems
  • Develop Lo-Fi and Hi-Fi UX prototypes
  • Lead user testing and expert analysis of UX concepts
  • Conduct A-B testing to resolve UX HMI issues
  • Define vehicle switch map definition on all AML projects
  • Conduct customer clinics to define UX on current and future projects.

Qualification & Experience:

  • HMI UX definition
  • HMI UX concept design
  • UX prototyping
  • Experience in HMI UX/UI
  • Proven record of delivering complex UX projects for multiple screens
  • Experience of working in UX/UI tools like Adobe Suite, Figma, Sketch, Protopie etc
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive life cycle development
  • Supplier management experience
  • Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion
  • Excellent technical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of using calculation and analysis to drive design.
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing processes to create the components or systems.

  • Competent in Microsoft Office toolset.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels

  • Must be able to project manage and work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Figma, Sketch, Protopie etc
