Job Purpose:
Technical leader for vehicle layout, encompassing occupant, major controls, safety, legals and interior concept layout.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Run cross functional concept interior package reviews.
Own cabin layout for key components (electrical modules, major harness runs, infotainment, HVAC, pedals etc.)
Release target and rationalized occupant and interior related hardpoints.
Occupant layout using design aspiration and working with mechanical package (PT, Chassis, Seats, HVAC), safety and L&C requirements.
Negotiate component location with PMT and PMST reps to achieve efficient package safeguarding customer space targets and protecting legal and functional geometric requirements. Challenge current practices to improve package efficiency and density.
Responsible for buck management - efficiently show optimal and compromised occupant package
Oversee buck trials.
Oversee benchmark trials and consistent input into package benchmark tracker and vehicle engineering target setting
Studio liaison
Qualification & Experience:
Proven experience working in either Vehicle Package or studio Engineering within premium automotive.
CAD creation (NX preferred)
Use of CAD visualization tools
Working in cross functional teams, preferably in a Vehicle Integration role
High level product creation process knowledge (GPDS, AMPCS, PCDS)
Knowledge Product Lifecycle Management systems (Teamcenter preferred)
