Job Purpose:

As part of Project Horizon, Aston Martin’s blueprint for future growth, the company is investing in a new Enterprise Resource Planning system which it plans to implement in 2022. Finance Operations is responsible for of Business Partnering and Controlling within all areas of AML with the exception of Sales and Marketing. The introduction of the ERP presents a challenge for Finance Operations as it will impact every role. It also represents a huge opportunity to radically change finance processes to make them more agile and increase the level of control and support offered to the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use a full assessment of the functionality of the ERP to identify finance processes that can be enhanced or eliminated.
  • Develop the enhanced processes and implement on introduction of the new system.
  • Work with the AML ERP Project Team and the ERP Suppliers to define the appropriate training and roll-out plans for Finance Operations. Ensure that the plans are designed to deliver the maximum benefit with the minimum disturbance to day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure that the functionality of the ERP and PLM systems and the corresponding finance processes support the new commodity engineering approach.

Qualification & Experience:

Preferred candidate will have finance leadership experience within a complex environment. They will be somebody who knows how data is derived and maintained within the finance organisation. Ideally, they will have automotive experience – senior experience working in Product Development would be a significant advantage.

The position is not a team leadership role, so the candidate will have to be prepared to do detailed investigative and process work. The candidate should have the communication skills to be able to describe processes concisely and work collaboratively to implement improvements.

Whilst experience of implementing an ERP would be helpful it is not a requirement.
