Job Purpose:

The ideal person for this role must have a high degree of automotive knowledge and skill.  They must be self-starting, highly motivated and be able to operate without direct supervision. The person will need to have strong interpersonal and presentation skills and be highly organised. They must be very engaging with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels within Aston Martin and our Dealer Network. Extensive overseas travel is required.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Technical & Commercial training program for North America, encompassing all technical training, foundation courses, sales induction courses and launch training programs.
  • Deliver training to Aston Martin franchised Dealer staff and internal Aston Martin staff members in North America and Overseas from the Company designated training facilities, also as appropriate from in-territory locations in all Aston Martin markets.  Training will be both technical & commercial.
  • Supervise practical and theoretical work continually assessing individual delegate progress. Validate the standard of delegate knowledge attained and carry out all associated procedures and record keeping.
  • Assist in the development of high quality and cost effective technical & commercial training programs, alongside other members of the training team.
  • Be jointly responsible for the technical accuracy of content, and safety of operations described in all training materials, which could have a direct bearing on warranty costs and product / legal liability, additionally for checking other service publications for technical consistency & accuracy.
  • Support Launch & Induction training delivery by delivering content as required in all necessary locations.
  • Develop and formalize the Aston Martin Ignition training program for new dealer appointments & new dealer / AM internal staff.
  • Perform regional Training Needs Analysis to constantly ensure training is relevant and targeted.
  • Responsible for setting up and managing the roll out of the Aston Martin Guild structure for North America.

Qualification & Experience:

The successful applicant will have first hand technician experience and / or hold a diploma in Technical or Production Engineering or equivalent. Extensive knowledge of the Company’s products plus an understanding of servicing and maintenance procedures is highly desirable. The ability to present and communicate at all levels is absolutely essential. Must have be able to take a creative and engaging approach to training courses in both delivery and development.

  • A full clean driving license is essential
  • English language and comprehension to high school standards
  • Additional languages an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in automotive industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of training delivery and /or training development experience in the automotive industry
  • Computer & IT Literate
