At Aston Martin, we are driven by a passion for creating exceptional vehicles that blend performance, innovation, and craftsmanship. We are currently looking for a SET Project Engineer – Closures & Mechanisms to join our growing Engineering team and play a key role in shaping the future of our vehicles.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your ideas and expertise will directly influence the delivery of world-class automotive products.
The Opportunity
As a SET Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of closures and mechanisms systems across vehicle programmes. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery aligned with programme objectives.
You’ll act as a key point of contact, bringing together engineering, design, manufacturing, and supplier inputs to ensure seamless integration and performance of your systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will take ownership of closures and mechanisms systems from concept through to production, ensuring robust design, delivery, and validation. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will coordinate activities, manage technical requirements, and support issue resolution throughout the programme lifecycle.
You will engage directly with suppliers to ensure components meet Aston Martin’s quality and performance standards, while also supporting programme timing, cost, and weight targets. A key part of the role will be driving continuous improvement and ensuring lessons learned are applied across programmes.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with strong engineering experience within automotive or a similar complex manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to closures, mechanisms, or related systems. You’ll bring a good understanding of product development processes and the ability to manage components through the full lifecycle.
You’ll be confident working across multiple teams, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive, solution-focused mindset is essential, along with the ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Why Join Us
At Aston Martin, you’ll be part of a team that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence. We are proud of our heritage but equally focused on innovation and the future. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to iconic products while developing your career in a supportive and inclusive environment.
If you’re passionate about automotive engineering and want to be part of something extraordinary, we’d love to hear from you.
