Drive the Future of Automotive Software at Aston Martin

Aston Martin is entering an exciting new chapter, and our Motion Control department is at the heart of it. We’re building an in-house team responsible for the software that controls how our vehicles move – from acceleration to steering to ride quality.

We're now looking for an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to help us transform moving forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll shape the tools and processes that underpin our software delivery, helping us move faster, smarter and more securely. You'll:

  • Design and build robust CI/CD pipelines that streamline software testing, release and deployment
  • Architect scalable infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, ensuring security, resilience and performance
  • Automate processes with scripting tools like Python, Shell and YAML
  • Champion Infrastructure as Code with tools like Ansible and Terraform
  • Lead DevOps best practice across Software and Electronics department, influencing process, tooling and delivery methods
  • Work closely with software engineers, IT and electronics teams to support reliable and efficient development environments
  • Bring visibility and observability to our systems through monitoring and logging tools
  • Support Agile delivery with a collaborative mindset

What You’ll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need proven expertise in DevOps and CI/CD implementation, with a strong track record of delivering secure, scalable deployment architectures. You should be highly proficient with Microsoft Azure cloud services, confident in Python scripting, and experienced in Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Ansible and Terraform. Your background will include deep automation skills, solid understanding of network security, and familiarity with modern deployment and release management processes. Experience working in Agile environments is essential, as is practical knowledge of tools like GitHub or Bitbucket, Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

You’ll be joining a close-knit operational team of senior DevOps engineers—working as part of a larger Software & Electronics department of around 170 people. Collaboration will be key, as you interface with IT, software developers, and other key technical stakeholders across the business.

This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the software automation strategy from the ground up. It’s a career-defining chance to work at the forefront of motion control and vehicle software innovation. As a highly visible role, your work will directly support and influence software delivery across the full Aston Martin product range.

We’re looking for someone with an architectural mindset—someone who enjoys solving problems hands-on, thinks strategically, and works collaboratively. You’ll need to be proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

If you are motivated by the opportunity to make a real impact through DevOps and are passionate about engineering exceptional outcomes, we would love to hear from you.
