As our next Delivery Engineer - Subframes, you will play a significant role in the conceptualization and design of new subframe programs.
You'll assist the Lead Engineer in the design and development of subframes and powertrain brackets, from the initial concept to production.
To thrive in this role, you should be receptive to new ideas, confident in expressing your views, and comfortable working independently. You will be part of a team of nearly fifteen, closely collaborating within a subgroup of three.
In partnering with a team of proficient CAD designers, your responsibility will include supporting the design and release of subframes and powertrain brackets.
You should be someone who embraces change, being dynamic and flexible, as each day presents unique challenges. You will work directly with various departments such as procurement, finance, program management, manufacturing, and external suppliers, providing extensive exposure across the business and the opportunity to establish your reputation. Your base will be at our Gaydon HQ in Warwickshire, working on a hybrid model.
As a Delivery Engineer - Subframes, your adaptability to change will be crucial, and you'll relish the chance to enhance operational methods and leave a significant impact on the business. You will work intimately with the testing team, aiding in vehicle and rig tests with prototype components when necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Chassis development experience
- Experience with cast or forged aluminium components
- An engineering degree
- Experience with software for component design
