ICE Powertrain Graduate

As our ICE Powertrain Graduate, you’ll be a valued member of the Powertrain team. As part of your role, you’ll be responsible for the design and development of components in CAD, ensuring that they meet the required standards and objectives. Your remit would include working independently on complete systems, running simplified simulations, and conducting simple calculations using simulation tools.

 

You’ll be responsible for creating 3D/2D CAD designs using Siemens PLM TeamCentre & NX Software, ensuring that they meet failure mode avoidance, and design for manufacture, service, and logistical requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in creating, checking, and approving engineering drawings, ensuring the correct application of GD&T/quality and AML drafting standards.

 

You're not the type to shy away from time constraints and conflicting priorities. Your proactive and self-motivated nature will assist you to hit the ground running. Your exceptional ability to communicate enables you to summarise concisely and articulately, within a fast-paced environment.

The Key Requirements...

  • Mechanical degree or similar
  • Ideally, studying fluid thermal dynamic
  • You’ll already have a good understanding of what a car is and how it works
  • Ideally, a Formula student
  • Your Hobbies will have a technical bias
  • You have a good understanding of simulation tools

This is a two-year rotational scheme within different areas of the ICE Powertrain department, where you’ll spend specific periods gaining invaluable experience and knowledge within our key areas, which may include

 

  • Simulation
  • Mechanical development
  • Calibration
  • Vehicle engineering
  • Chassis
  • Body engineering
  • ePowertrain
  • NVH
  • Aerothermal
  • Cost engineering
  • Quality
  • Purchasing

 

This scheme starts on Monday 2nd September 2024.

  • Mon – Thurs 8am – 5pm and Fri 8am – 1pm
