Job Purpose:
The Networks Expert will develop and maintain OEM specific Standards for Software and Hardware, Model based development tools. Diagnostics, Testing and Cyber security.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of
the post.
- Authoring and maintaining OEM specific Standards for Software and Hardware
- Develop modeling guidelines for EE tools for existing and new Architectures
- Manage Diagnostic Templates
- Provide support for Autosar Classic and Adaptive
- Cyber security requirements covering Secure Diagnostics and Secure communications.
- Testing new releases of Networks tools. Capital Networks and PREEvision before they are deployed. Create processes and maintain guidelines for Network’s tool releases.
- Lead the technical direction, specification, and delivery of vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet
and Flexray.
- Define requirements and judge supplier technical capability to deliver these systems on all current and future projects.
- Schedule and conduct busload usage for all network ECU's systems. Ensure simulated and measured results meet
requirements.
- Monitor technical progress and delivery against project milestones that ensure robust delivery to AML Product
Creation System requirements for all ECU’s and the whole vehicle network.
- Be the lead technical authority within Aston Martin on these systems.
- Manage all network management testing and simulation testing.
- Responsible for the overall vehicle network sign-off and compliance of all ECU’s.
- Manage vehicle network topology diagram within the EE Architecture team.
- Schedule and conduct vehicle wake up, post run and shutdown requirements.
- Create and develop NWM scheme across the vehicle, to encompass both the vehicle networks, wake up requirements and power management.
- Schedule and conduct reviews to ensure effective use of HW/Device technology for wake up, sleep mode, and wake up performance.
- Create testing requirements and generate / support test plan and requirements for Test Team.
- Supports prototype builds, fault diagnosis and containment
- Supports concern reviews with progress reports and up-dates to electrical concerns.
Qualification & Experience:
- Knowledge of multiple automotive electronic systems from working as a systems architect on embedded systems in automotive or a related industry, e.g. aerospace.
- Network Protocols (CAN, FlexRay, LIN, Ethernet).
- Diagnostics protocols and knowledge of UDS/ODX.
- Experience of using Vector tools and creation of CAPL scripts for simulation/testing.
- Experience of system integration engineering and software delivery.
- Experience of working in a cross functional team to tackle complex issue resolution.
- Advanced User of Mentor VSA and/or PREEvison networks tools.
- Advanced knowledge of DBC, arxml and FIBEX Automotive file formats.
- Experience of managing technical delivery through Tier 1 suppliers.
- In depth working knowledge of complex real time operating systems.
- Experience Authoring technical documentation in requirements capture tools e.g. Doors, Polarion.
- Experience of Autosar SW architecture.
- Experience of E2E communication protection.
- Experience of Secure Diagnostics and Secure Communications to meet Cyber security Standards.
- Experience of UN ECE155

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical / Electronic, Electrical Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
