Job Purpose:
To provide a high quality administrative HR service
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Administration of new starters including processing of all relevant documentation, creation of employee HR records
Co-ordination activities to support the Company induction programme
Raising purchase orders and organising payment for HR & L&D budgets
Delivery of standard HR processes and activities e.g.development reviews and associated salary increases, updating Organisation Charts, processing of Return to Work interviews, producing and distributing weekly/monthly reports
Support with offboarding activities including production of leavers letters and raising Payroll Action Notices
Administration activities to support use of the HR Special Events Car
Dealing with general day-to-day enquiries either face to face or by telephone and escalating where appropriate to the relevant area
Maintaining accurate personnel files, ensuring good housekeeping standards are met (filing)
Handling requests for references for employment, mortgage applications etc
Typing up notes for ER cases such as disciplinaries and grievances
Qualification & Experience:
HR/Administration Background
Knowledge of HR Systems and employee administration
Sound IT literacy in MS Office Tools
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
HR generalist experience preferred
Experience supporting recruitment, induction and onboarding programmes preferred
Knowledge of ERP systems preferred
Experience supporting HR projects preferred
CIPD level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent experience
Behaviours:
The ideal candidate for this role should have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and strong organisational skills which will enable them to manage a wide variety of administrative activities. They will also be able to operate using their own initiative prioritising activities appropriately. They should be flexible and adaptable to change as we will be implementing a new HR system during 2022 and the post-holder will have key role to play in the transition to new ways of working.
