A Graduate Engineer is required to support the expansion of the Q Collection development team. The team is responsible for delivering a new range of premium Q options for the next generation of Aston Martin cars. The Graduate Engineer will be required to support projects from concept through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Working under the direction of the Programme Leader, support project specifications for function, timing, cost and quality
Work with the key stakeholders & system owners within AML at the concept stage to identify any technical or legal constraints
Support Q Division Engineers to set functional and performance targets for the full product or system
Work with the Purchasing team throughout the sourcing process to ensure commercial targets are met
Assist in the production of project timing plans for engineering activities, for example Design release, sourcing, prototype development, testing, tooling etc.
Work with the department NX CAD Engineer to create models, using Design released surfaces where appropriate to create fully engineered components
Support department Programme Coordinator to manage the sourced supplier to deliver systems meeting all AML engineering and programme targets.
Collaborate with the Programme leader to prepare material for presentation at programme reviews including PSTs
Work collaboratively with the other AML departments including Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
Identify the DVP requirements and assist in any system or vehicle level testing to ensure product meets AML standards
Release parts through ERP process
Support in the project handover process to the Launch and MP&L teams at completion stage
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum Degree level in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
Good ability to clearly present information to all levels in the organisation.
Experienced NX user.
Knowledge of the AML ‘Mission’ process would be beneficial.
Driving licence, Medical clearance to drive company vehicles.
